I'm not sure how long after, but it certainly was more than a year or so. I'm curious how many other riders didn't know either. The graphics on the 1997 and 1998 CBR 600 F3 fairings are actually the letters "F3". If you look at the right side, it's backwards so it's not so obvious. But when looking a the left side with the bike tilted to the right, you can see it plain as day. Am I that blind ?

Yes, the photos were taken by KillBoy at Deals Gap last summer. I took a turn on my wifes F3. I had so much fun, I just had to get one too!

Never noticed that...pretty sweet they kept the right side JDM with the reverse letters hehe

 

We get the European ones, so different style of graphics, but I have a few models (as in plastic models)with the same graphics & so it was noticable. & I assumed everyone would know

 

Well at least I know I'm not totally out of it, lol.

 

That was the one thing I liked (graphically) about my bike before I painted it. I just wasn't crazy about the purple. Nice pics by the way.

 

I had noticed that on your colour schemes before ... it's good :-)

Yeah, I knew about it. Mainlly because I wanted to copy the pattern when I paint my bike...just like Ruthless.

Speaking of that, who knows of a place that actually has a decal set compairable to OEM? This is about the closest I could find with the F3 that's brought up in this thread

I know that there are a lot of sets out there with the smaller lettering and allthat, but I want the large "F3" that goes on the sides

 

+1 Northern..... if I could even get my hands on a pattern, I have a friend that could plot it out in vinyl. The flames are pretty cool though.
