Air cleaner question?

Default Air cleaner question?

Number 8 over here on our oem parts finder show's us a small little air filter? i guess besides the primary air filter...how does it effect performance, should it be replaced too, and! how does everyone feel about k&n air filters?

dont worry bout that one...unless a mouse made a house in there.

K&N lets in too much junk for me..too much air too so i dont feel like rejetting my carbs..i will stick to a stock filter thank you

Unless you've got some engine mods (cams, carbs) then a K&N isn't really as benificial as you might think. Just stick with the paper filters. Do some searching and a bunch of people are saying power actually drops or stays the same with a stock (or even a bolt on motor) and a K&N.

Moose nailed it Sprout.K&Ns are only good if you have a highly modded motor.Besides,the OEM paper filters work VERY well in keeping trash outta your motor.
