Aftermarket seat
OK now I'm mad, I went to intall the seat I redid and it doesn't fit. I bought it off of Ebay last year(said it was from a 97 cbr F3)and I never tried installing it until now. I think the seat is from a F2.
well damn.
Here's the easy way to get an F2 seat to fit and F3....get ready to take notes..
1. Cut off the front 'hook' and 1/2 inch from the end.
2. Trim the rear 'hook' so its about 1 inch wide, and 3/4 inch shorter.
3. Test fit and see what parts are still in the way.
4. Should be 2 points that need to be trimmed about 1 inch.
5. After adjustments place seat into place.
6. Take a roll of duct tape and right at the pass strap wrap underneath the tail towards the right side of bike then under (this is important). Bring back up from underneath the frame on the left.
7. Do about 20 wraps.
8. Spray paint tape black.
9 Put on sandals, shorts, and cut off shirt
10. Go squid it up.

actually that sucks....looks like its time to sell and find the right seat.

LOL, You should make that into a how-to. I still have the original seat my bike came with, I just have to redo that one. Now it will be easy to do since I've done one already.
