Question 98' F3 Color Codes

Hi all, Im trying to restore the f3 fairings on my f2, and I'm trying to find the color codes for the seemingly rare black and maroon-ish color combo of the 98' model year. Specifically, Im looking for the color code or color name of those pinkish/purple colored tail fairings.

maybe someone's F3 on here is in that color scheme and can help? Thanks guys

I have that rare bike.
I’ll look tomorrow as there is a code on the frame.

Hi,

NH-1 came back as gloss black.
the NH1K color I couldn't find anything on, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it may be the purple color I'm after!

I also found some interesting info though, apparently there is a semi-official name for this color scheme, it was called "desert storm" and it was a limited edition color scheme like the smokin' joe.

Anyway, thank you so much for getting these codes off the frame, hopefully I can find more on the purple color's given name, Ill be sure to post any other info I find here. Thanks again!

You are very welcome. I’ve had multiple people tell me they didn’t realize that it is a real cbr color scheme.

Are you looking for the fairings or just the color so you can paint yours that color?

Well I'm hoping to do a touchup on the left tail fairing and the top tail cover. They're all scratched up and sanded + epoxied in places where I broke the tail last winter. I slipped on ice moving the bike into storage

I went to the local sherwin williams yesterday and they have a little machine for color matching, but they said they couldn't get a good match since the fairings themselves are pretty beat and the clearcoat is gone in most places. I would just replace them but I'm pretty broke (student) so my hope is I can get away with a rattle can and some polish lol

Ooh that bites about the ice.
if you’re not in a hurry I can take a piece into a Sherwin Williams this week. I have a few extra pieces which are broken but in great shape in terms of color. They probably should be able to get something from them.

Hey, that’s very kind of you, if you’re feeling up to it that would be awesome! And I’m not in a rush either, the snow is gonna fly here pretty soon so this job is on the back burner
