Default 96 600 help

hello everyone! i just bought a 96 cbr and wanted to ask a few questions.
It seems that the bike starts really good but when its warmed up its seems to be breaking up meaning; it will give me full throttle sometimes and other times it will hesitate and not give me full power?

im new to bikes and wanted to get some help

run some Seafoam through it to start. Make sure those carbs are clean. I assume you've checked all the fluids to make sure they are full and clean as well?

Also the choke on that bike is located on the left handle bar; it stays up always when i drive it and start it up. when i lower the choke it revs to 5000 rpm and somtimes it will die

What's the history of the bike? How long was it sitting, maint schedule and etc? If it's been sitting a while, the carbs prolly need cleaning AND the the gas may have gone over as well. And if it has stop trying to start it until you drain the gas and clean the carbs.

The spark plugs may still be good but running it with crap gas will make replacing the plugs a necessity as well

To clean the carbs? Metric tools and screwdrivers (phillips and standard). Or a bottle of Seafoam if you're going the quick route.

It's not hard, just time consuming the first time. Mostly figuring out how to get Tool A into Slot B. Beyond cleaning them, I'm not the one to ask
