Rich idle is not normal. Could you describe what the choke is doing? What is your gas mileage like? Two areas to check. The choke cable clamp under the airbox and the settings of your pilot screws. Do you know if a jet kit was put in the bike?

the choke lever moves fully but doesnt open completely. at least thats how it acts. When the choke is on fully it doesnt wanna do anything its as if the choke is off. When its at 3/4 it functions as a normal choke.

The choke on the bike is actually an enrichment circuit rather than a butterfly type of choke. It sounds like the low speed/pilot setting could be too rich. Your picture attachment doesn't show your bike. Does it have the stock exhaust? Stock air filter?

it has a leo vince sbk carbon fiber slip on and a k&n air filter. i believe the jets in the carb are all stock but im not completely sure. my other post should show one picture of the bike from the clutch side.

Ok. Usually, the addition of a slip-on and a K&N would cause the bike to run slightly lean. So, I'm thinking a jet kit has also been added. In addition, the pilot jet adjustment has probably been richened up too much. Stock F3s are 1 1/2 turns out to start with and jet kits start around 2 turns out. Check by lightly screwing the adjustment screw under the floatbowl all the way in and count the number of turns. You might need a D shaped adjuster bit or make one with brass tubing. You can hope that the PO slotted the adj screws for a small screwdriver.

All four carbs need to be the same. Minor adjustments for each cylinder may be needed, but this should get you close.

thanks a bunch man. i wasnt sure how many turns i needed to start with on the pilot. since im not completely sure about the jet kit should i maybe go 1 3/4 out first and make minor adjustments or just go ahead with 2. Is there anyway to tell if the jets are bigger than stock? Would it be stamped on them? Is my picture still not showing up it wont be much help but i would like to know if i uploaded it correctly?

I dont see any pics. The jet sizes are stamped on the jets. Might need a magnify glass to read the numbers though.
