929, F4i, or other tail?
Hey guys
I've been looking over the forum for the better part of the day, and given the search function doesn't help much when searching "f3" or "f4i", I figured I might as well ask for help, now that I'm in the early hours of the AM.
I sold my R6a week ago, it was too nice to stunt. Found a deal on a '95 F3 in great shape, almost a shame to rip it apart. All of the fairings are coming off, and I'm going with an Acerbis front, painting the tank black, etc...
The stock tail looks like crap, and I'm going to be putting a 12 bar on it anyway. I've been searching for tail mods all over the forum, and the 600RR tails seem to be getting the most attention, but its too much fabrication for me; I want to leave the stock subframe on. I don't want to go with the 97-98 F3 tail, as I fail to see the difference, and I want to get rid of the whole banana seat thing since I don't ride two-up. Just wondering if anyone has done this with the F4i split seat, or the 929RR tail section, and how difficult/how much fabrication is involved. Or, if anyone would recommend any good solo racing tails on the cheap...can someone point me in the right direction?

There are a few guys on here that have done the F4i split conversion...I think there is a pic/writeup in the pic & vids area. Do you have any extra R6 tails laying around...I've seen a cool project online that was called the CBR6 which was a streefightered CBR600 F3 or F4i that used an R6 tail and I thought that it looked great!
