Default 2006 VFR swingarm mounting?

A buddy just totalled his 2006 VFR. The rear of the bike is still good, but the insurance company totalled it. It's apparently about to hit a local junkyard.

I've heard some VFRs swingarms mount to the engine and not the frame. Any idea how its mounted on his bike?

I'm considering a single side conversion using parts from his bike if the swingarm mounts into the frame like my 95 CBR.

maybe it was something about a shock mounting to the engine...

just like all mods, it will take a bit of fab work... But the end result would be really nice. if he will give you the swing arm I would take it and try it.

I know you have to make a bracket to make the shock mount. and some models of the vfr are wider and don't wanna mount up right to the f3 frame.

Like I said though, it would be worth trying, That is "if you like the sssa"
