That is a pretty good price. If it has a good paint job, I know a lot of rattle can custom jobs that dont look so hot. The milage is very low for this bike. I would say buy it. Post some pics if you have them.

I love the F3, but $4700 seems steep for an almost 9 year old bike. For that money, you could get an F4i, which is a much more modern bike with fuel injection. It's probably priced that high because of the paint and chrome, which no doubt cost the guy a lot of money. But just because he spent money on those things doesn't mean you should, unless those are things you really want.

Personally, I'd find a less expensive bike and put the money I saved toward track days.

I personally wouldn't pay over $3500 for a 97-98. For $4700 you could easily get a 99-00 R6, even with it being a seller's market.

NOOOOOOO, no way, he probably put a lot of money into it, but for a 98, no way. I have seen PLENTY of F4i's with less than 10,000 miles on them for $4200 or less were talking '01's and '02's. Do a little research, then if you want the paint, you will probably end up at the price you would have paid for the '98
