1995 cbr600f2?
I have a '95 CBR600, and as i all along thought it was an F3, I think I may have been mistaken. I am 100% positive the bike is a '95, but I'm replacing the cam chain tensioner and I had ordered an F3 one, but it doesn't fit. So I went online and looked up other models and it appears to have an F2 motor. I've had the same experience with the brake pads; I ordered F3 front brake pads and they aren't the right ones, so I looked up F2 pads and those ARE. I'm not a big enthusiast on old CBR's, so can someone explain this to me?

My guess is it`s an F2 that`s been sitting at the dealer´s for some reason and the first registration is done at`05 even though it`s a "over-year" bike. From the evidence provided it`s clearly and f2, does it have a fuel pump? the F3 does, f2 doesn`t. On the F2 the service "hatches" at the sides are just one large hole, where on the f3 there is two holes separated by a column.

An easy way to tell would be to look at the front of the bike. On an f3 just under the headlight are two holes in the plastics and inside of them are two tubes on each side connected to hoses. These are there to collect incoming air. In the middle is a much larger air ram that is box shaped and leads under the gas tank, typically the end of which is covered by a plastic 'grating.'
The air ram was a significant design change for the f3 that is not present on a stock f2.
