Default 07 cbr600RR shock on F3?

I'm looking to cost-effectively upgrade the suspension on my F3. Word around the campfire is that a rear shock off of an 07 600rr will fit nicely. Has anyone here experimented with one?

I looked into this a while ago once I discovered this video

CBR600 F3 - 600RR Shock Swap - YouTube

I asked the guy who made the video and he never actually installed it on his bike.
I will probably try this out come spring because I will be putting on a f4i or possibly the rr shock on.

the 95-96 have 109mm of travel 97-98 119mm

03-04rr 119mm
05-11rr 130mm

Thanks Hootie, I was just about to post that vid and you beat me to it! It's what prompted me to ask this question. I think for the $30 it will cost me to get a shock, I'll give it a whirl and eventually contribute with my impressions once warm enough to ride again here in the Northeast.

its been done, the f4i shock lowers the rear, and people have said the chained ended up cutting a nice little groove in the swing arm.
with an RR shock, actually makes the handling worse since they were designed for a much lighter bike, so unless you have it rebuilt with a valve and spring for your weight...but that defeats the purpose of a cheap upgrade.
But your best bet is really to just get the OEM shock rebuilt with your weight in mind.

its really the best way to go that wont break the bank, had mine rebuilt and valved for my weight for around $200 and it was literally a brand new shock.
