I beilieve that you could do it. It will require getting the 06 subframe and some welding and fabricating to install on your F3. Not sure if the costs would justify it to me. Personally I like the 97-98 tail look.

Oh by the way- got any more pics of your bike. Mine is going to the paint booth this winter and using Smokin Joes rear fairings but the rest of the bike will be a combination of the yellow and white with carbon fiber accents and graphics. From seeing the color of yours, I may have a better idea of how it will look.

yes this is possible , u can even use that stock sub frame with some mods , or like the person above stated , but the problem in doin that is that a bikes bodywork is designed the way it looks for a reason , airflow , u will b changing the bikes natural flow over the bodywork and at highspeeds it can b noticed. If i were u and u just want a better look check out opp racing bodyworks , they have some nice solo seats

This is all my opinion mind you... Solo seats look like poop on bikes as old as ours are, and then you lose the options of having your little hottie on the back. Also I highly doubt I myself would ever feel any bad side effects of changing the tail. Im sure my big *** breaks up most of the wind that will even get close to the tail section anyways.

well when u put a rear section off a new bike on a old *** f3 it will look like crap too in my opinion since the body lines will b totaly off , big round bubble lookin front end and a 06 rear end with sharp body lines , all show no go

sad new guys,
just as i thought my bike was running nicely it startes bogging and dies on me while riding in the middle of the street. luckily i was able to get to the shoulder without being killed. now any mods has to wait. i found a picture and have to agree with you guys on the tail section. i thought it would look nice but it turns out i was wrong. thanks for the input guys.
