hey guys i picked up a 2000 r1 so the cbr has been sitting for a few months and i couldnt get it to start last week do you think that the gas would go bad the quick? if not any other sugestions?

 

Seems like these things are bad about wanting to star after they sit. Mine gets cold hearted after a couple weeks. It actually starts easier on 1/2 choke. Dont know why... but it does.

 

Gas would not go bad that fast. And good call on the R1! I have an 04 r6 love it, i just have the cbr for stunting...hope you get it up and running!

 

does anyone know some good tricks to getting our very cold hearted F2s to start after sitting for a while, like if i were to let it sit all winter (i live in michigan) how can it get it to start again, its hard enough after 2 weeks?

 

you could try letting the bike sit inside over night so when you go to start it the engine is 70 degrees as opposed to 40 or colder depending on where your at.
