why does my bike run like **** into the wind
ok so i thought i needed my carbs cleaned but now i'm not sure... here is the problem. when i ride into the wind (as dumb as that sounds) it runs like ****. it coughs and sputters almost to the point i have to get off the road. it seems to happen in any gear.. usually when i accelerate. and everytime the wind blows it gets worse... when i ride with the wind at my back it runs like a champ....
before i recognized this problem. i would only have problems in 4th gear or higher, i thought. now i realize it was speed, not gear. i did run a bottle of sea foam through it. i also checked my plugs. they are the right ones and are clean and gapped right. my airbox is good and sealed, and i have a clean K and N filter...
the other thing i noticed was that on the front of my airbox there are two oval holes that the air goes through to get to my air filter.. should i have something that goes forward from that? i have no plastics so i don't know what should have been there...

in those holes. there are 2 pieces of tubing that angle downwards but that shouldnt be a problem not having them.

RE: why does my bike run like **** into the wind
yes it does seem like it is getting to much air.... as for my fuel line needing turned, it could be, i have pulled the tank twice..
also on the rejetting, i'm at 7000 ft. and my local shop said if they rejett it, it would run like crap below 5000. any idea?
my plugs are beautiful. the correct gap and everything. it almost looks like they are running to hot. as in not enough fuel for the amount of air. which puts me back to my intake again.
