Default Where to get CBR 600 F2 Fairings??

Hey guys just got a '94 CBR 600 F2.

Real excited to get it looking good.
Mechanically the bike is in great condition.
New brakes rotors calipers.

Engine is really strong runs really well.

Now the bad part-
This bikes fairings are pretty much scrapped.
I'm looking at some kits on e-bay, just general Google search results.
and I was wondering others that have been in the same situation where have they purchased their kit.

The bike was black and I'd like to keep it relatively stock looking.
Stock looking fairings and mostly black.

This looks like a possibility any comments concerning this kit? -

I also had a question regarding these kits.
Does the gas tank part of it just mount over the existing gas tank?

Also the upper headlight fairing doesn't seem as complete as the OEM will this affect the look to make it appear after market?

Thanks for everyone's comments and pardon the inexperience!

Yes, this will fit your bike. It's an aftermarket kit so the fitment is not going to be 100% perfect like the OEM. You'll see some very slight gaps in some spots but not noticeable until you get real close. As far as the tank goes, it's a shell that you just place over your existing tank. Looks good to me. I've picked up after market fairings from eBay and I haven't had a problem with them.

Ok sounds good Thx!

I'm probably going to order it within the next couple weeks.

Whats the usual time estimate of this project in hours?
They'll be two of us working on the bike.

Thx Again!

Find out if the are press molded or injection molded as that will make the biggest impacy on installation.

Press molded fairings you want to stay away from as they are difficult to install.

The reason it might look different to you, is that the headlight carriage assembly, which holds the headlight and connects to the front upper fairing bits, is not a part of any fairing kits - this part will have to be brought over from the previous set, or replaced.

Is this the piece behind the gauges that holds the headlight?

the front right fairing is damaged near the raidiator fill cap, will this affect anything?

The headlight and pretty much the front fairing is still securely held up, will this mean that I can use the exsisting one?

Just asking because a google search for headlight carriage didnt yield much.

Thanks! and again sorry for the inexperience!

Yes, it is usually a gray part.

I'm not really sure how to answer that - you can ride with perfect fairings, broken fairings, or no fairings at all!! I would think the affect of it being damaged, is just that it looks bad!!

Without seeing it, I couldn't answer that...you would have to remove the front fairings and disconnect the headlight carrier assembly, in order to examine it, and determine if it's okay.

That's just what I call it, I don't know what Honda officially calls that particular part.

My headlight assembly is still in good condition so I can re-use that.

Looking at your threads and see you also bought a kit any chance you would want to sell your stock fairing kit?

Why is it that press molded would be harder to install?
