What are the two taps/screws

Hi I have just got a cbr600f2 and not sure what the two tap/screws are for on the left hand side of the bike that are accessible without having to take and panel off ect

You're losing your touch. You should know exactly what he is referring to without him even having to ask!

Only things I can think of are either a place for the helmet lock or the two pins that point down below the cargo rack which are meant for fixing points for a strapping net.

I was thinking maybe something to do with the inspection/access panel...
Or rear set....

Are you asking about the vacuum ports like these?

My first thought was actually that he's referring to the petcock and idle screw...

I think you are talking about the fuel petcock knob - should be marked on - off -res. It turns the fuel on and off and to reserve (when you get low).

Second knob is idle speed adjuster. It's not an idle mixture. very different. You shouldn't normally have to adjust this. It's more a set and forget knob.
