How hard is it to install this tail end, thinking about doing this lately for a late winter project.

I start looking around and it seems like common practice to put a newer tail on. Any help?

Tons of people on these forums have done a tail swap. that one looks like a 600rr tail.

the amount of work involved depends if you do the subframe swap as well or just the plastics. Either way you will probably have to cut your subframe.

use the search button to find more examples on here.

It's not bad at all, thats my bike in the pic. Do a google search for "cbr f2 f4i"... There are many good write-ups and some not so good write-ups. It just requires some imagination and patience. I cut a little slit in the last 5 inches of the sub-frame and had to bend it up so it didnt stick out of the tail. PM me for more help

im workin on that as we speak. subframe is off, i ground down the tube insert jobbies on the frame. just waitin for the subframe. i just have to weld tabs to bolt on the subbie i think.then im hackin out the old shock mount and puttin a 600rr tank that drops down between the frame. what you got planned underground-mpyre? sounds like were headin on a similar direction

600rr or 1000rr tail end. Like to make into a budget racer/Street Killer. Here is my list for the winter to do.

1. Install '98 GSXR front fork and rim(Behemuth Forks)
2. Install new motor and race clutch w/ stage 2 jets
3. Install Fox twin clicker
4. Get a 900rr rim and install a 180 rear tire

Touge if you can post up pic w/ what you are doing along the way? I would mind also doing this while my bike will be apart.
