Default Upgrades for the F2 (100HP possible?)

Whats up?

I been readin up on mods and stuff for the F2 and lookin around on here. I read that people have gotten 200 out of their engines though im sure that they were for extremely high end motors that require massive amounts of cash.

When I got my bike, it had a V&H slip-on, K&N filter, and the guy said it was jetted. Not sure if it was or not. I was looking into a big bore kit but would it be worth it? and which size would be good, 618 or 637. I want to try to get as much power out of it without swapping the motor out for a 900RR motor, which I might do depending on what happens later in the year.

Edit: Guess I read those wrong, you guys would know so no 200hp. thought it was kind of far fetched.

Default RE: Any way to make 100hp from the F2 engine?

I am not sure what you would give up boring the motor...my guess is it would be tough to cool, and while it may do a better 1/4, it wouldn't be fun if it would only do 1/4 before overheating. I do not believe for a second anyone getting 200 from an F2. With a full highend exhaust, stage 2 jets, k&n I could see getting 105-110 max at the rear wheel...and with the right gearing maybe pushing 155-160 mph.

If you are willing to bore, I am not sure why you wouldn't just move up to the 900. You can find them fairly cheap and there are how-to's explaining the mods on this forum.

no way 200 HP out of a 600 f2.. my f2 with the 900 engine dynoed at 108 with the D&D, single filters, and a jet kit without the bottle.. and under 122 with the bottle..

the 919 engine for the 900RR only has 118 hp stock.

i dont even think a f2 with a turbo is touching near 200 HP..

Alright, thanks. Got my answer haha. I was worried about it gettin too hot if the motor was bored out like that. I just want a little higher end so when I do gear it, I can still get a good amount of acceleration with a top end. Kind of like an all around bike. Thats why I wanted to try to get around 100hp

I also have the stock suspension on the bike. What can I do about it to have it handle better? I saw some people had switched out the rear shock and some the front forks for newer CBR parts but is that just for the 900 swap or does that actually help cornering and everything? Like I said I want it to be good all around, drag or track because I plan on kind of going back and forth. Not every day or all the time, but the times when I want to get to the track and just open it up a little bit to have it hang with the other guys. Plus we have alot of hills around here and short streets.
