Ticking Noise in the Motor Area????
Hello Guys, I am new to the forum but so far, I think its cool that I have fellow CBR F2 owners to talk to! Anyways, I was on my way home from a friends about 5 minutes from my house, the bike rode fine, no problems, what so ever! So, when I pull into my drive way, I put it in neutral and I hear this ticking noise in and around the motor (block area on the right side just inside where my knee sits when I ride). So, I turn it off and I take all my farrings off to check things out and I can't spot anything. Then on the left side of the bike I see that one of my plugs is loose, so I plug it back in. I start it back up but I still have that horrible ticking sound and I can't figure out what it is or where it is coming from exactly! If anyone can help me trouble shoot this, I would appreciate it highly!! I need to know what can be done to fix it, how much, what parts or just anything. PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN!!!! Thank You Tim

RE: Ticking Noise in the Motor Area????
thats your cct (cam chain tensioner)..the ticking is the CCT is notkeeping pressureon your cam chain, causing a chain slap..do a search on here that a REALLY big problem with F2's...well that and regulator/rectifiers...
