Stator cover help

can anyone share the steps to installing a stator cover on the f2.
Should i drain my oil first?

RE: Stator cover help

Drain the oil and remove the bolts in a cross-cross pattern to prevent warpage.

When you remove the cover you will need to remove the screws that hold the stator to the cover and transfer it over to the new cover.

Get some RTV silicone.

When you put the new cover on, the wire has a trianglerubber gromet that fits in the top of the cover... You should put a little bit of RTV silicone around the rubber gromet just for extra sealing.

Put the new cover in place and install all of the bolts finger tight, then torque to spec in a criss-cross pattern.

Easy!

I'll be fading in and out until spring time when I can get my CBR build back up and running... My new job pays a lot better, so the door to some higher end parts and different upgrade options has been opened.

:)

Woops, yes you should.
