Stage 1 Dynojet kit, plug needle slide hole?
Hey, the dynojet kit instructions tells you to use a 2 part epoxy to plug one of the holes on the bottom of the needle slide.
What's the purpose for that and is it necessary?
I've e-mailed Dynojet technical assistance and asked them, still waiting on the response.
Anybody here know?

RE: Stage 1 Dynojet kit, plug needle slide hole?
When I got my boogered-up racebike that epoxy stuff was done. The guys @MSP said it wasn't needed, they re-did mine and badda-bing!! they're perfect.
But to be safe I'd wait on their response, and pester them with questions if the answer is yes.Gotta know why it's important.
Keep in mind : Whenmy carbs were done right, the bike picked up 1 1/2 peak hp,and the flat spot in the middle was gone, both on the dyno chart and the seat of my pants. The bike was much easier to ride to boot.

RE: Stage 1 Dynojet kit, plug needle slide hole?
So I asked the dynojet engineering dept what the purpose of the plugged slide hole is.
He responds with this:
The purpose of plugging the hole is to improve drivability. Without plugging the hole drivability will suffer.
WELL THANKS GENIOUS!
That sure explained everything, putting proper air pressure in the tires improves drivability too, as does selecting the proper gear to drive in, oh and I think oil in the crank helps "drivability" also!
So I emailed him back...
Well that didn't tell me anything Michael! :P
What is the mechanical advantage gained inside the carburetor by plugging the slide holes? More vacuum?
His response:
It slows down the slides! Unwanted movement will be dampened.
Michael is either a reallybusy man, or he really doesn't know what he's talking about lol.
