Should i get it
Hey guys wats up im new to the forum but ive never had a cbr but i need a bike does this seem like a good deal .http://nashville.craigslist.org/mcy/374771188.html the guy said he'll sell it to me for 1700 should i get the bike.thanks Cody
Go there to "look at it", but only bring 1600.Have 1500 cash in hundreds and 100 dollars in small bills (420's, a ten,a five, and fivesingles.Put 1400 in your front pocket,100 in yourback pocket, and the small bills in your wallet.(this is a good idea that i got off another thread). if everyting looks good, give him the $1400. Tell him thats the offer, take it or leave it. If he doesn't take it, give him 100 more, but not right away. Point out all of the faults the bike has (needs new tires/brakes, bodywork, etc).Say that's all you're willing to spend (the bike needs work after all). If no, tell him the only other cash you have is in your wallet, and it's to pay for title and registration. Give him the money in your wallet only if you have no choice. Tell me if this works. And don't worry about the sound, it's probably the cct (look this up on the forum if you don't understand). Good luck.
Dude you should definitely only offer him around $1,300 to $1,400 i would not go any higher than that... I jsut picked up my '94 F2 with 35K on the clock, it has a little bit of rash on it from a low speed slide and I only Paid $1,800. Oh.. and +1 on what greek said do the money that way but i would start out at $1300.
