alrite guys, i have a big problem here! all and any advice would be amazing, as i am completely confused!ok so i'll be riding, sometimes all day and then out of nowhere, my lights will go out (and i know i'm gonna be ****ed soon) and then about 20 seconds later my bikes motor will just shut down..like its not gettin any spark or something and then i'll coast to a stop and try and start it again and nothing, very little power if any!! and then...I'm stuck!! please any ideas whats goin wrong???

Your battery is dying and you're not getting any spark...It's not like automobiles where once you start it, you can yank off the battery cables and it keeps running off the alternator. Bikes are ran off the stator and battery simutaneously. I'm thinking your stator is bad and will need replacing.

sup man i had the some prob so i know how you feel it was my voltage regulator so befor i changed it out i check the 3 yello wires and found out that there was a plastic clip bettein the alternator and regulator check that becouse i burned out another regulator the plastic clip was burnd and melted so check the wire's and if you like ill get the stats to check the regulator befor you change it

 

test the charging system, theres tons of info about this on this site, as well as the other cbr forum

 

regulator/rectifier possibly?

ride it around the block with the left tail fairing off then feel it to see if its hot, should be warm, but not HOT
