RE: replace stanard mirrors

i have had luck with ebay replacements in the past on other brands of bikes, but for some reason the CBR has a weird angle at the mounting base for the mirror. as you can see, mine mounted fine, but function like **** as i cant see anything behind me. blech. i am looking for some others right now.

I bought those exact same tear-drop shaped mirrors off eBay for my bike, and I just threw them away. They were crap. I put my stock mirrors back on, and, even though they are scuffed, I am still WAY happier with them than those pieces of shyte from eBay!!

What I've seen work pretty well is to just take the rubber surround off of the mirror stalk and paint the stalk and base to mach the mirror and use allen head bolts for fasteners. This makes it look very similar to the new style of mirrors on Hondas.
