Removing F2 Decals....
Hey group, ok, so I am buying a 1992 CBR600 F2 at the end of the month and the only two things I don't like about it is that it is the purple/yellow and black color scheeme and it has a purple and black seat on it... Question is: How do I remove the purple and yellow decals and just have an all black ride? And by the way does anybody have a stock black seat for a '92 F2.

RE: Removing F2 Decals....
I went through the decal removal process on mine. As long as you are patient it can be done without messing up the plastic underneath. You're best bet is to use a (not too hot) heat gun or hair dryer to warm up the decals prior to peeling them off. Even the sun will warm them up enough on some of these hot summer days. After you get the decal off, then go back with some goo-gone or a similar mild adhesive remover to clean up any remaining glue.

DUDE! I'd keep 'em on....These older CBR's(especially F2's) are getting harder to find in descent condition...then to have one paint it flat black and call it good.(just an example). I see it happening alot where an really nice F2 gets an attmpt to be "upgraded" to look somewhat recent...and in most cases makes them look hideous...
Just my opinion though..
Good Luck!

off topic, BUT FNQUICKF2, I see your point about keeping the ride stock and in mint condition, but i think the older graphic schemes look hideous and outdated. I have admired your f2 since the day i saw it, its probably my favorite one ive seen thats not modded like crazy. the drop makes it look good and its just so damn clean....BUT i think removing your decals would do wonders for your bike. keep everything as it is but remove all the decals so its all black and it would hands down be my favorite f2, stock or modded. just some friendly advice. btw, how much of a drop do you have, and is the black exhaust factory or did you paint it?

RE: Removing F2 Decals....
Well I see your point... FNQuick but the left lower fairing is rashed a little bit an has a slight crack so it iwll need to be replced. I may leav it stock or take it down to the black that is onder the stickers. Will defiantely post up when i get it.. By the way GROUP does anyone ever plan a big F2 Rally of sorts? Maybe go to the Dragon or other places...
