I picked one of these up... worked great since the only problem has been heat dissipation... Also it mounts right up in stock location without interference

I used 'Arctic Silver 5' same stuff you put between heat-sinks and processors on computers. High-Density thermal compound.

gix regulator write up here.

https://cbrforum.com/m_199676/tm.htm

That is for sure what i would do if my reg was out. You can get the gixxer rectifiers for hella cheap on the bay.

Sorry for my horrendous slang.

Also as-5 is really nice stuff, but i'm damn sure you won't need it if you go with a quality rectifier.

I did the GSXR 1000 Reg/rec on my bike. Wired up no problem and havn't had any problems as of yet. Super easy mod to fix the OEM reg/rec from going out all the time.

Hello!
I had some problems with my rectifier and I changed it with a similar one, made by Ducati Energia. The difference is that the new one had a radiator and ran cooler than the original one. I reckon that the heat was the cause that determined the original regulator to fail.
On this topic (http://www.hondahome.ro/forum/index....&#entry331)I describe exactly how I changed the regulator. I also fitted suplimentary radiators and I used cooling paste (I'm not sure if this is the correct name for it) and so I have obtained an operating temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius lower.
Even though the topic I have linked is in Romanian, the pictures I have made speak for themselves. If you have any questions, don't hesitate: I will answer
