Default rear brake height adjustment

I was trying to figure out if there was a way to adjust the height of the rear brake. Its very high and awkward. Ive looked through the Haynes repair manual and that has nothing on it and I messed around with it a bit but I cant seem to get it any lower.

It works like any other brake cylinder rod... you loosen the bolts and turn the rod in the approriate direction.

(as far as I can remember... )

Loosening bolts and turning the rod is for drum brakes, I was wondering the same about adjustment but havent actually looked at it yet, there must be a way though...

No it isn't. Car disk brakes have the same kind of adjustment.
