Lightbulb Quick tip for reattaching broken fairing lugs

I've been going through my motora looking for anything I can fix/clean-up while I'm waiting for my brake cylinder to come in. I noticed my rear plastics are losing their last lugs that plug in right under the tail. After trying some silicone glue and waiting overnight for the disappointment of it separating as soon as I plugged it in, I started looking around for a better, flexible yet strong adhesive - and I think I found it!

'Squirt-Cheese Style Gasket Maker"

I'll post a pic of what I used when I get back to my computer. But the point is, I went out yesterday after cleaning off all the silicone glue I had tried previously, and squirt a nice big blob where I needed to attach the lug, then pushed the lug in place, and smoothed the stuff around it, and let it set overnight.

WOW!

Great adhesion, and flexible too!

Didn't seem to mind being plugged into the socket at all. I unplugged it, tried to wiggle it around a bit, no issues. Plugged it back in with no problems. We'll see, but I think it's gonna be fine for repeated removal. I'll update after it's been a while, but I think it's gonna work just fine. Black too, just like the inside of my plastics so it looks nice.

Just thought I'd share, since I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this issue.

Doesn't look like there's a way to upload these from my phone to this site, so here's a photobucket link so you see what I'm talking about.

I've been messing with it over the last week to see if it's gonna stay - looks like it's on there nice and snug. Has just enough flex, with a really nice bond.
