Default Question about 91-94 forks!!!

As we all know 94 f2s have cartridged style forks, but prior to 94 they have the cheap kind of forks. I'm wondering, if I could take the internals out of my 94 catridge style and drop them in the prior ones and use my 94 caps with it. Would this work?

I don't know for sure...but I'd doubt it.

How do you tell the difference, anyway? I've got two 94 frames, and two rear shocks, but I think my forks might be first-generation ones.

Well you could tell if they're the catridge styled forks if the fork cap has two adjustments. 1 small adjuster (requires a screwdriver) and a nut adjuster right below it (requires a size 14mm open wrench I believe). If it just has just one adjuster, that's the first-generation.
