I paid $3600 for my 93 f2 with 33.000 km's on it.. couldn't turn this bike down.. it was in amazing shape, sounded good and i fell in love with it.. i'v modded the windscreen, side bars, and put custom paint on it. I'd prob ask around $3500 cnd funds if I were ever too sell mine

Price is way to high. Pipes and jetting do nothing for the value of a bike, and custom paint does little...it's like suping up a Honda Civic...sure it's a nice ride...but it's still a Honda Civic. I bought my '94 F2 w/ 18K for 2500...it was near mint. So, I think even 2500 is a reach for a similar bike w/ 35K. That being said you are looking for a used bike in the spring: higher demand = seller's market. You can find great deals for used bikes in the fall...at least in regions with a winter!
For that bike the owner is probably trying to factor money he has spen on the bike into the asking price...and there IS a sucker born every minute. I would just leave an offer on the table and leave him your number and look elsewhere.
BTW, I actually found my bike on eBay. I looked for bikes within 200 miles of me and found my F2 in Kentucky. I emailed the seller and told him I would come with cash and if it was what it appeared to be I would leave with it. It turned out to be a great, smooth transaction.
