Petcock Question (not my wife's pet)...
My bike needs a new petcock...I ordered one from ronayer.com...of course I got the cheaper one. The one I got from ayer doesn't have the vent tube (it only hasone place to connect fuel lines to)...Will it work? Can I frankenstein it with the old onefrom the bike? or do I need to spend $140 for a new one and junk the $45 one I bought?

RE: Petcock Question (not my wife's pet)...
The outlet that is inline with the fuel line is conected below the far left carb on my bike. The third outlet pointed away from the other two I dont have conected because Im not sure where it goes and the nipple isnt long enough for me to attach any tubing to even if I new where it went. Bike runs fine without it though. The photo is the old one I took off (**** stuck in off position) The old one has a longer nipple . The new one is almost flush with the base. BTW my bike is a 91. I dont know if cycletherapy sent me a year specific petcock, but it works .

As Stampederunner said it will work just fine. That small hose how ever is not a vent it is a vacume line running from cab 1 andit opens a dipragm in the more expensive petcock. Just make sure it doesnt have a vac leak because your bike will not run right if its not properly plugged off.
