Default Oil Leak

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone has had this same problem and what they did about it. When I was puttin my baby away for the winter, I noticed that it was leaking a decent amount of oil all of a sudden. All of the oil is dripping off the stator cover bottom three bolts. I tried sealing it up, but the leak just keeps coming back. The weird thing is is that no matter how much oil is on the ground after sitting for a while, the oil level is still fine. The level will go down to the bottom fill line and just stay there. If anyone has ideas on whats goin on and what I can do I would really appreciate it. Oh and by the way its a 1994 F2

It was off the bike once and I used a new gasket when i put it back on. It sealed fine for like a month, but then all of a sudden it starts leaking real bad.

Is it possible you over torqued the cover when you put it back on? If you over tigthen it, you can sort of squeeze the gasket out of place. Might take a little bit of time to show up, but it would leak. All I can think of.

I agree. If you do any type of work on your bike yourself (especially work on the motor) you have to have a torque wrench. It's some of the best $75 I've ever spent.

Mine does the same. I used a new gasket and tourqed to spec but it still leaks. After it has sat unmoved for about a week it doesn't leak, but as soon as I move the bike it will leak again. Kinda weird, havent had the time to look into it though.

yeah i just replaced the gasket and torqued it correctly and its doin the same. It won't leak if it sits for more then 2-3 hours, but as soon as i start it up and run it, it leaks really bad.
