Not bored yet.
The other day, I really got on my F2, to make a light (safely so) and brought the tach up to between 8000 and 8500 rpm (in 2nd or 3rd gear). That's REALLY high for me. I don't push the bike very much, mostly joy ride and spirited riding. This is probably the highest i've reved the engine since I got it a year ago, and Man these F2's have lovely engines. You really appreciate honda's engineering when you ride these bikes the way they were designed to. And when you're getting closer to redline and the engine screams "Give me more!!". These engines really love to be pushed. The higher the rpm's, the better they perform. If I start to bore of my bike, it either means I'm really tired, in which case I shouldn't be riding at all or i've been riding too much and need a break. Part of the joy of owning this bike isn't only the acceleration, but the lovely sound it makes and how it behaves under pressure. And knowing you're riding something that can be bullied by very few.

Glad to see you are liking the F2, as long as you aren't bouncing off of the rev limiter and bike all warmed up feel free to push you shift point to 10k RPM, you are still well in your powerband! Just make sure that you can rite within your limits and safely. They are great and strong bikes!
Without a doubt.... the higher the revs, the wider the grins!

These things live to romp, and the real rompin' is up top, where all your power lives - max torque comes on just past 10K, and max power is at about 12K... rev it, baby!!!

It is safe to say I do bounce off the rev limiter from time to time(tach fell off 3 years ago). These are strong bikes and with a little modifying the get faster. Take care of it and give it regular oil changes, there is little to no damage can be done with enjoying all the Rpm's in all the gears. People are always surprised how fast these Old Bikes handle compared to the new ones. I am not interested in getting rid of my bike anytime soon. Keep your smiles coming and enjoy your bike!
