mines got 36k, needed a r/r and a rear tire, picked it up for $1600. doesnt sound like a bad deal at all tho. id ask why it has new paint though. was it laid down or dropped?

There is an inspection list linked to in General Tech IIRC. It's got a ton of information and stuff to look for. Some fixes are cheap and should be looked at as such while others are pricey. Unless the guy has a reciept from a recent mech visit for fluid changes, figure $100 off the batfor all new fluids and filter. (more if air filter needs replaced) Pay close attention to the chain, sprockets and tires IMHO. They are easy fixes, but something that many sellers put off because of the cost of doing it all just to get rid of a bike. Plus, they still view it as good condition and rideable.

Also, from first glance, the rear turn signals were removed, so make sure he did some sort of conversion or else you'll need to replace those. The signals should be cheap and easy to find, but the wiring may be more of a challenge.

Just think to yourself it was probably wrecked at some point. That should make you feel better.

FWIW, people on the CBR forum here usually post some pretty good deals on the older bikes once in a while.
