new chain time
hey guys,
decided to change my chain, i want to get a bit more acceleration any suggestions on sprocket sizes? Also is changing the chain an easy job or would it be easier sendin it to the dealer?, i imagine they'll charge quite a bit labour as they always do! Thanks, chris |
RE: new chain time
Stock Sprocket sizes are 15 tooth front 43 tooth rear which has a final drive ratio of 2.87. I have heard a 14 tooth front 46 tooth rear which has a final drive ratio of 3.07 is pretty good. The most common one that I have seen is a front 14 and rear 45. I am as well thinking about changing; hopefully someone else will bring up some good facts.
