I don't know the details but
The F2 has a mechanical speedometer and the RR has an electric one so you will need to buy a gizmo that converts the mechanical speedo drive into an electrical signal.

It is best to have the wiring schematics for both bikes when you do this.
To solve the mechanical speedo issue I used a pickup from a 900CBR, you will need a speedo healer to get the correct reading.
You can have a look at what I did here http://www.flickr.com/photos/vallip

RE: new cbr digital gauge on an f2...
Well I have not played with the 2007 bike but what I have found is that honda dose not change things just for the fun of it.
For example when I installed the speedo pickup from the 900 CBR it had the same plug as the F3 wiring harness had and the same colors as well.
I installed the F3 wiring harness on my bike because I also have the F3 carbs and I wanted the F3 CDI box to take advantage of the TPI sensor on the carbs.
During the installation of the F3 harness I found it to have the same wiring colors as the F2 harness and the same plugs, so that all the F2 stuff, handlebar switches and things like that plugged straight in.
