Default never use a air hose to blow out your tank vent

got my bike all done put like a grand in to her was so happy to have a running bike. so i thought i would blow out the gas vent holes and well it blew my tank up like a ballon i harldy blew it for 2 secs and did not notice untill i went to put the tank on. i was like wtf the tank is way sticking out then i got looking and saw how much bigger the tank got. has custom paint also had to stand on the tank and beat the inside with a hammer to get to fit on half ***. not a good day.

How much pressure were you using? Isn't the tank made of metal? You'd have to have a pretty good seal on that thing and some serious pressure...

not really, some people use this method to pop out tanks.

I had some knarly knee, knuckle and fist dents/smashes on my last bikes tank.....we had some issues...

I think the f2 has a relatively solid tank though.

if you were near my id offer you my f3 parts tank...

edit: good luck to the op, hope the next tank a paint match great.
