Default Neutral light doesnt come on & headlight cuts in and out

Ok so first the headlight cuts out once in a while and its not just the light but the high beam indicator light also goes out so its not the bulb or connector to the th bulb. Any ideas?? And shortly after that started happening my neutral light doesnt work anymore and it wont start in neutral, i have to pull the clutch to start now. These two have to be related i havent had any problems with my bike and these two things happens days between the other. So what do you think

Wiring problem is what it sounds like. Follow the headlight wire both ways and check for nicks/cuts. As far as not starting in neutral if you have a wiring problem that may cause it. You may be in neutral but if the sensor isnt picking it up it may not allow it to start. Check fuses also.

And you are actually in neutral right? lol

pulll apart the the right hand control. the part with the kill switch and start button you prolly have wires broken free.

No it starts so its not the kill switch. Normally you can start it with out clutch pulled it when in neutral but since the neutral light doesn't come on it wont unless i pull clutch in now.

there are three wires in your switch one of them kills the light when you hit the button it will still start but you will have no headlight or high beam indicator its only 2 screws and is worth a look could be a problem with that wire grounding out on another causing your neutral issue.

It is only 2 screws and worth a look. I opened mine today to replace my throttle cable. Make sure you use a stubby screwdirver since its kinda a short place to work.

Same thing happened to me. I turn the key and I have no low beam or high beam or high beam indicator, but everything else electrically works Bulb and fuse are fine.
Checked the starter about a month ago and cleaned it. Now im not sure what the problem is...

WELL I found the problem to the neutral light. The plastic connectors under the seat came undone probably from over time of me riding wheelies and just coming down hard jooked them loose. And i did take the starter switch apart like you all said and didnt look like any thing was touching but i moved some wires around anyway and i'll try it for a while before i put the fairings back on if i dont see a problem in a few days ill attach the fairings and let you all know. so far thanks for the help

the wire that controls the headlight in there will be the outer one as long as that one is still soldered down the prob is somewhere else
