I've been searching around for a cheap crotch rocket and came across this cbr:

"I have a 1994 cbr 600 with 29000 miles on it. Runs really good, the only thing that it needs is a upper front faring. I have the old one and know a guy that does plastic welding and says it can be fixed. I put last year a new front and rear sprocket, new front and rear tires new o ring chain, new clutch perch and new grips. This bike runs way good and is way fast for $1000.00"

What do you guys think?
The pictures look pretty clean.
Just needs some plastic is all.
Is 1k a fair price?

1k definitely, i would ask for maintenance history and service papers first. take it for a test drive.

Yeah, I'll see how it was maintained.
Is there anything that will need replaced soon though?
I won't really have time for any major repairs.
I'm going to get ahold of him this week and maybe check into it more.

the f2's engine is pretty bomb proof, as long as he kept up with fluid changes and proper maintenance you shouldn't have a problem. my only concern at that mileage would be the cct and possibly a valve adjustment.

sounds really good. and the F2 looks good as a streetfighter (if you don't want to bother fixing that upper fairing)

as long as it runs strong, I say go for it. Bought My '94 F2 for $800, My first bike, put a little time and money into it and here you go: First pic is after I had her for about a month and did some work ( like removing that hideous headlight hanger) Last two pics is after 5 months of tinkering and how she sits now

Thanks, Subscribe to my channel. I'm in the middle of doing a '06-'07 Yamaha R6 tail conversion ( It's just mocked up in the pictures ^^^) So I'll be posting videos of the build as well as some more walk arounds and fly bys once the conversion is done. ( Just waiting on some decent weather because I'm in St. Louis Missouri and it's 20 degress out now )
