Default Update

Yaaaasssss!!! Petcock came in yesterday night. Put it on this mornin, an oh my glob the difference is night an day.
I can hold speed in 6th and accelerate. Crackles a lil bit but I think that's because I took the snorkles out of the air box. I'm so stoked right now.
probably gonna put the air box back the way it was today or Monday but this thread is done thanks for your help again

Success is great, eh?

Chances are that old gas deposits are the only issue with the stock petcock. You can remove the diaphragm and check it for any holes that might leak vacuum, then use carb cleaner on the internal passages. Of course, cleaning is a waste of time if the diaphragm is holed or torn. I think that Honda PN 16953-MBZ-B51 (Petcock Cover Set) contains a new diaphragm, but not worth the effort if the diaphragm is not sealing.

Default Woes

Well wit the help of my buddy riding with me. We both think it's running rich now. Sigh, ima pull the plugs tomoro as my tools are at the shop. Gonna put new ones in regardless (I'm sure there worn out). As I'm maintaining speed in any gear above forth it loses power, then kicks in again. Boggs down but as soon as I pull in the clutch and open up throttle rpms come back up.
pulling down on choke lever smooths it out for a second then does the same thing as with choke lever up.
any help is appreciated, I really thought I had this fixed up
