to buy a 93 f2. it is in great shape mechanically but it is in a street fighter project condition. it needs plastics and all that. im not sure what all i need to get it back together. i want to have the original headlight so ill need a fairing stay? what else is needed? thanks.

Obviously, first you need get bike street legal. Headlight, blinkers, tag....then you need to decide weather to fight it...or restore it back to oem...

Or track it.

But if bike is for commuting purpose...get it street legal

agreed.. I would restore back 2 oem with a older bike.
Also go on google images 2 see how it looks than go on ebay & check for parts.

yep im trying to get it back on the road and then ill slowly get it back to stock. what is all needed for the front assembly?

Down load the free manual or service manual... There's link somewhere here.... eBay is likely the best place to find used parts but you must shop with patience..but look at pics, looks like you may spend more money to bring it back to stock than to fight it.

Take more clearer pic of your front end, looks like you need speedo/complete headlight housing....

Many f1 f2 f3 parts are interchangable....other members here will chime in...

Here is example of front cowl:

http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/model...per-cowl-95-96

This is for 95-96.... You can search your year.

As you can see there are tons of parts needed to bring it back to stock...it's not cost effective to go that route IMO.

But rather find cheapest way to make it street legal first. Enjoy riding it, build more experience. Then when opportunity comes, like maybe a bike out there with blown motor & would like to par out...make a deal....or maybe you find a better upgrade?

I'll turn it into a fighter...cheaper. OEM parts are hell $$$$$ costly.

Here's some youtube video, i understand why you want to bring it back to OEM....what a beauty!!!! she is stock!

At the very least you will need:
Fairing stay
gauges
head light
turn signals

We started with a bike in similar shape. It took several months of surfing craigslist and ebay to get all of the needed fairings and parts. But that was because we were on a serious budget. I think we spent about $400 on everything, but that included a radiator and a complete fluid/filter change. Many of the plastic pieces we bought were the wrong color and/or needed lots of work, but if you are willing/able to do the work, you can get the bike looking very nice on the cheap.
