This is the first bike i ever had. It was a retired race bike with a race tail section, a tach only instrument bracket and was missing the tach, a toggle ignition switch, no mirrors, fiberglass fairings, a ripped seat, cracks on both sides where it had fallen over, no rear pegs, and it was red white and blue custom race paint scheme. I fixed all the fiberglass, repainted it, repainted the wheels, found some mirrors, actually found the instrument cluster (very hard find), found some rear pegs, traded for the stock tail section, had the seat recovered. I did the paint and bodywork myself. Here are some pictures. Thought I would put it out here for others to see.

very nice! How hard was it to paint? Did you clear coat over the decals or put them on after paint?

 

It wasnt that hard to paint, but then again, i know how to paint. The wheels can be hard to clear coat, but i didnt have any trouble with them on this bike. I put the decals over the paint. I painted the whole thing solid red, then went back with decals and painted the tail white...
