Default My F2 Started Sputtering On The Highway!?

Where should I begin? I was on my way to a family reunion today which was on the outskirts of town. I knew I was low on gas because On the way there I stopped at a stop sign and the bike simply turned off. "WTF? No big deal" I told myself. I simply turned to petcock to reserve and it turned right on again.... Well on the way home I got on the Highway and it rode fine until about a quarter mile from the off ramp. The bike started to lose power and began to sputter (No gas of course) But the lights on the bike went completely dim. Now I know the bike will sputter and turn off without any gas of course, But the reason why I am posting this is because I wanted to know if My lights dimming were normal. I rolled it on to a Chevron and pumped 91 which I always do, And now it is running fine. I just want to know if this was a foreshadow for something that is going to happen in the future...

Any input will be greatly appreciated!

let your bike idle in neutral in the dark then rev it up your light will get brighter. dont worry about it as your bike spins more rpms it puts out more power and thus brightens the lights a bit

It will get pretty bright if I rev it, But it also dims when I press the brakes. Speaking of sputtering... Ive been noticing something else as well...

When I ride my bike for the first time each day it runs great, But as it gets to running temperature, It feels like my bike seems to lose torque while taking off from a dead stop. Could it be that my bike is running a bit lean?

if u dont want ur lights to dim when u hit the brakes then find a way to fit a car battery on ur bike. and add a alternator while ur at it.

ZOMG THIS IS NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Seriously, easy up. If you really really really want to work on your bike, go test the R\R at 5k and let us know what it reports back. I'll buy everyone here a beer if it's bad.

The only reason I know something is up is because the last owner cut the rear turn signals and somehow connected them to the tail light. It's basically an integrated tail light, But if I use my turn signal and then apply the brakes, The signals start to blink rapidly. I think he just did a poor job wiring it.

No need to have a heart attack over this everyone...

As the engine heats up, fuel flows better and the air is a little hotter, so if the bike runs worse while hot, it is rich. If it feels slow just at slow speeds, the pilot jets need cleaned or the screws need leaned out.
