Default Muffler Opinions Needed...

Hey, guys... been a while since I've been through here... hope everybody has had afun and safe riding season. Been pretty good riding here for the last couple months - nice and warm, not too much rain, and notmany problems with the old F2 - so I've had some fun.

Buthere's where I could use a little of your help: I have a Yoshi slip-on which is nice and loud and sounds great, but I'd like to get another slip-onmuffler that's just plain quiet - silent even. (Yeah, I knowit's against the 'rules' of sport bike ownership, but occasionally I'd like to just go into stealth mode.) SomethingI canput on when I go for longer tripsaround the island and have my hearing and sanity when I get back. $350'sabout my upper limit - but I'd be willing to go a little higher if all I hear at full throttleis my chain going around.

Floor is yours now fellas, thanks for your help.

I dont think any aftermarket can is going to make the bike quieter. I settleed on getting the stock muffler for my 87, since I love quiet. doesnt break any rules of sportbike ownership, some people enjoy loud, some of us, prefer quiet. neither is wrong, its just how you like YOUR bike to sound.

Yeah that's an aftermarket header mate.

Look for a product called "DB Dawg" they lower noise by about 6 decibels.
