Default Maybe buying a 93 F2

Hello all!! I have been lurking forever and thought I'd say hello. I'm new to bikes, did my MSF last month and feel I need a bike before I forget what I learned. Ive heard time and time again the don't start on 600 arguments and I feel an F2 would be a good start for me. Also I wanted toask what are some things to look for when inspecting an F2. Thank you guys in advance.

If you have respect for the bike a F2 is a great beginer bike that you can grow with.. as far as what to look for , I would just look to see if it has beendown, if maintinance has been performed, and what has been done to the bike.. good luck

+1...I agree with everything BLKF2 said. My F2 is my first bike...this is mt third summer with it and I still love it. Definately respect the bike...it may be a somewhat tame 600 but can still get you in a situation you don't want to be in in the blink of an eye.

Maintenance is important, find out who did the maintenance dealer, shop, owner...and as about things like the R/R, CCT, and valve clearance...if they had the bike for any amount of time and got into the maintenance they should be very familiar with these...

Thank you for the reply's. I just returned from looking at it and I am sure I will buy it. It already had a D&D exhuast and I can tell by the way it idle's and how it responds to throttle input that it has been jetted. I asked that he didn't start before I got there so I am very impressed by this motorcycle. Of course it does have a Honda motor so what do you expect.
