Default Let's Lock'em Up...

Hey guys,

Now that thismachine is about totake tothe road, what's the best way of keeping it locked when I'm not around? I've seen disk locks with and without internal alarms, completealarm systems with engine kill switches and other Bond-like gadgetry, and a ten foot cable attatched to a hungry rottweiler -complete with front fenderdoggie basket. I have no idea what's best at this point. Willing to invest, if it's really effective.

Just want it to be there when I get back.

Suggestions??

Gracias,

- rey

1. I have a Scorpio remote/paging alarm.
2. I have a cable that I tie to either a pole or my buddy's bike.
3. I have a disk-lock with alarm.

#2 and 3 fit in the trunk (954 is huge).

Depending on the area and general accessibility, I use any or all of the anti-theft methods. I also carry a concealed handgun if the alarm goes off.

Edit: I had to add, I have a 129 pound German Shepherdat home. He doesn't like people around the motorcycle since it stays in the shed in his yard.

A kryptonite lock and good insurance. If they want it, they absolutely are going to get it.

Thanks for your suggestions. Looked into that Scorpio... nice - definate possibility.Couldn't get that youtubelink to work, but thanks anyway '93'. Those Kryps have always kept my bicycles in place... that plus the Scorp looks like a good combo.

Thanks

I just use thoseclub padlocks that are incased so you can't get boltcutters on them. I use them like a disclock and it works great.
