Just wondering how I install this shift kit I just got?

 

anybody know about these?

 

No instructions? Im not so sure myself but check the manufactuers website.

 

I would start looking at you service manual...

 

take it to the shop to do it. i just put one in mine a few weeks ago. its a pita.
drain oil. take off clutch cover. take off clutch assembly(all of it) remember EXACTLY how the bolts and plates go on. disconnect the shifter. remove shift rod. install shift kit. it took me about 5 hours to do all of this. and i had a proper work shop with all the tools and a lift for the bike so everything was level to work on while standing up.

 

Cool it came with a spring and a gasket.

 

I've never heard of a shift kit. What does it do for you?

 

its supposed to help prevent missed shifts

 

it makes shifts quicker also. the spring that you put in is stiffer so it pushes it back in faster than stock.
