I think the HP is 83 rwhp. I use Honda HP4 10w40 motorcycle synthetic oil in my bike, and I change it every 2000 miles. Some may call this overkill, but I'd rather have my bike last me longer and spend a few extra bucks on oil. It really depends on how hard you ride it too. NEVER use automotive oil, as it has anti-friction additives for automotive engines. This stuff doesn't work well with bikes since our clutches use the same oil as our engine. Need friction in the clutches. 1/4 time is probably low 13's if you know how to ride. CBR's have 4 carbs, 1 per cylinder, as do most bikes with carbs.

I recommend 10w40W Amsoil... by far the best oil out there. It's recommended change interval is 15k miles, but I do mine every 5k in every car/boat/bike I've ever owned. Never one issue.

I recently pulled a 1993 CBR1000F apart, it had 131k miles, and had been run pretty much all it's life on Amsoil. The cylinders inside looked so new that you could still see the crosshatch pattern from the original machining!!! I was already a believer, but that finished me off.

You can use automotive oil, just make sure it says NON-ENERGY CONSERVING on the bottle. [:@]

I've been running regular, automotive Mobil-1 full synthetic in my 600f2 for 2,000 miles no problems...no clutch slippage
