idle problems after laydown
i just recently laid down my bike after hitting an oil slick during a lowspeed turn (turning left at a light) so i was only going about 20 miles an hour, and when i went to acclerate out of my turn my back tire spun out from under neath me and before i knew it my bike was sideways.
i picked it up and got it started and rode it off the road, i noticed it didnt really want to turn at first when i first started it after picking it up, the oil check light blinked for about a second then turned off. when i got it to the roadside i noticed that it was idleing quite rough and was wanting to stall. i was only a few block from my house so i decided to ride it home and it stalled on me a few times trying to even get it in first gear, i had to be super easy on the clutch. well i got it home and it was still idleing really rough. i killed the engine and started it up a few more times. its starts somewhat smooth, not as good as before, but still starts. and it just wants to stall if i leave it alone and dont give it gas.
anyone know where i should start looking to try and fix this problem?

Looks like there some vacuum tubes that control gas flow just under the left fairing, are they all still connected - none pinched or kinked? How about the spark plug wires - any knocked loose?
And when you said that it stalled, was it when you put it in gear, or when you were releasing the clutch lever?

i checked all the sparkplug caps and they are on as tight as i can get them, no loose ones.
i removed the gas tank to see if any hose's came lose and they were all intact, i made sure none were lose are kinked aswell just like you said, i cleaned the air filter out just to make sure it wasnt clogged aswell.
i did notice how ever the small box behind the left side of the fairing, connecting to the air filter cover was knocked loose. and that the styrofoam kinda "melted" and was mushy and sticky.
i tried starting it up a few times to no success, it rumbled and wanted to start but stopped rumblnig as soon as i let off the starter. now the starter only makes a weak rumble then starts to click, so i guess my battery needs some juicing up.
and it stalled on me when i was letting the clutch out, as if i wasnt giving it enough gas
i highsided on my right hand side, snapped off the brake lever and shatterd the mirror, the clutch lever is fine and not touched

Ah, I assumed it was a lowside due to the nature of the crash.
If you binned on the right side, check your throttle cables etc.
I believe the "box" behind the fairings is just a crankcase breather sub filter.
What styrofoam are you referring to?
-When styrofoam comes into contact with gasoline it melts into a sticky putty substance... Put that in an explosive and you have napalm

i think it was a subfilter, nothing too big i assume.
the throttle still snaps back to closed after i let go of it, ill follow the cables down to the carbs again, see if anything is overly tight. it feels true when i twist it.
the night i laid it down i smelt gas around the bike, think it flooded when it was on its side?

I'm not sure how the overflow system works for the fuel tank, but you may have lost some fuel when it was on its side leading to the smell.
Was it running on its side for an extended amount of time, or did it stall on impact?

it stalled on impact when i let go of the throttle to jump off.
ok, i just put the battery back in and started it up, it ran rough, but still ran which is a relief to me.
it sounded bad however, as if something was hitting in the engine. i dont see any cracks on the engine itself

i got the engine running but it still wants to die, i had to have it on full choke and if i take the choke off it dies on me.
my manual says that it might be
a.incorrect choke adjustment (i doubt thats it)
b incorrect pilot screw setting (which was fine before the crash, dont know why it wouldnt be now)
c.incorrect igniton timing
d. contaminated fuel(wich i doubt)
e. intake manifold air leak
