I will die from gas fumes if someone doesnt help....Please look
I have a 93 honda f2. When i bought the bike it had a aftermarket pipe and k&n filter on it. when i ride the bike i get such a big headache because of smelling gas. i was told when a bike is jetted it should be jetted a little smaller than stock because there is no restrictions and doesn't need as much gas. so if there is stock jets in this bike, could it be too much fuel for the bike? any help or ideas?[/align]

.if theres less restriction...= more air..when you have more air..you need MORE gas...(its lik.e. saying you need less fuel because your car is turbocharged..eh...wrong) You sure your fuel lines arent leaky? Can you smell gas when your bike is just sitting without being ridden?

I'd take a paper towel and lay it underneath the carbs, then ride around the block or parking lot or whatever. See if once you start opening the throttle the floats hang up or something and start puking gas out the overflow. If the paper towel is wet, go to work on the carbs. If you let it heat up too much and the gas evaporates off the paper, the paper should still be stained yellow.
You shouldn't smell gas when you ride, regardless of jetting. Maybe check out the rubber seal on the gas cap, maybe thats leaking fumes?
thats all I got
